What To Build?

Aim to create a Minimum Viable Product that addresses one of the problems given by us. Show how your solution can drive positive change.

Your project should utilize Google's Generative AI tools and APIs, like the Gemini API, to develop an application, product, or prototype. You're welcome to use any framework, library, or programming language that suits you best.

What To Submit?

Highlight Gemini's capabilities

Mention specific aspects of Gemini that were instrumental in building your solution, such as LLMs capabilities, access to information, or the ability to generate creative text.

Prototype

Build a basic prototype that showcases how your solution addresses the problem area. Upload this prototype along with your submission.

Video Showcase

Create a video with screen recordings, animations, or relevant visuals to illustrate your concept. Include a clear voiceover explaining how your solution works and how it solves the given problem. We'll be there to help you create this video showcase if needed!

Rules and Guidelines:

0000
All project work must be completed during the hackathon. Projects or code created before the event cannot be submitted.
0001
Teams will be formed by the organizers, with a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 4 members. Participants do not need to register as teams — we will randomly add people to teams before the hackathon.
0010
To participate, please register for the hackathon and make sure you’re available from 9 AM to 8 PM on the event day.
0011
Teams are required to develop an application, product, or prototype using Google's generative AI tools and APIs. To get started, you can refer to the resources provided in the Gemini Cookbook.

The hackathon will consist of three phases:

Phase One

Teams will brainstorm and finalize ideas with help from mentors.

Phase Two

Each team will have 5 hours to prototype and build their solutions, with guidance and feedback from mentors.

Phase Three

Teams will submit their working solutions, which will be evaluated. The top 10 teams will then present their solutions to the judges, with each team given 5 minutes.

0101
The hackathon will be held in one day, starting at 11 AM and concluding by 6 PM. There will be no extensions granted.
0110
Teams must submit their final projects via GitHub, in the provided repositories. They must also submit a short video explaining their solution (we'll help you build this!). If shortlisted, teams will pitch their solutions to judges and complete a submission form, including a link to their demo site and the video.
